In October of 2004, Dynamic acquired Bob O’Leary Health Food Distributor Co., Inc. (“BOSS”). BOSS, headquartered in Scranton, Pennsylvania, is a leading distributor of non-prescription dietary supplements, vitamins, health food, nutritional products, soft goods and related products. BOSS distributes the products of over 100 vendors, including all the top health food and nutrition brands such as MuscleTech, EAS, VPX, BSN, Next Proteins, TwinLab, MetRx, and Cytodyne Technologies. In March of 2005, Dynamic acquired Dynamic Marketing, Inc. (“Dynamic Marketing”), which, along with BOSS, is one of the three leading wholesalers and distributors of sports nutrition supplements and products. Dynamic Marketing maintains distribution relationships with over 70 leading brand names and distributes to over 2,500 customers from its two warehouses in Rhode Island and Nevada. Particularly of interest is Dynamic Marketing’s focus on sports energy and performance beverages, making up more than 60% of the company’s sales (with almost 200 beverages from 15 different manufacturers).
